KARL HAENDEL FOR LAND IN MARFA, TX
DESCRIPTION
As part of LAND's multi-site, multi-artist exhibition Nothing Beside Remains, to take place in Marfa, TX throughout the fall of 2011 and into 2012, Haendel will create a textual mural for the façade of the United Artists, Ltd. building. Entitled Questions for Marfa, this installation posits twenty-five questions, each wrought with a seemingly insurmountable opposition: a concrete presentation that can only elicit an abstract response.
